Maple Brown Sugar Baked Bacon

  • 12 oz thick cut bacon
  • 5 Tb brown sugar
  • 2 Tb + 1 tsp maple syrup
  • Heavy pinch of coarse ground black pepper
  1. Preheat oven to 375 degrees.
  2. Line baking sheet with foil.
  3. Spray rack with cooking spray and place on baking sheet. Place bacon in single layer on oiled baking rack.
  4. In a small saucepan, heat brown sugar, maple, and black pepper until brown sugar dissolves.
  5. Working quickly, brush on bacon, flip bacon, and brush on other side.
  6. Bake about 35 minutes, until glazed and tasty! Poke a long wooden skewer in if you really want it to seem like the fair.
