- 1 C fresh blackberries (1/3 for soaking overnight, and 2/3 reserved for garnish)
- 1 lime, quartered
- 1 Cara Cara orange, sliced
- 1/4 C Calvados (regular brandy works great too!)
- 1/4 C Cointreau (or Gran Marnier)
- 1/4 C maple syrup
- 1 bottle red wine (Malbec, Cabernet, etc.)
- Cinnamon Orange Sugar (to rim drinking glasses)
- Place all fruit and spices into a lidded jar or pitcher (don’t forget to set aside the garnish!).
- Pour Calvados, Cointreau, maple syrup, and wine over fruit and let rest for a few hours, up to overnight.
- When ready to serve, dip edge of glass in lemon juice, then into Cinnamon Orange Sugar. Add sangria and blackberry garnish. Enjoy!
