Balsamic Steaks With A Cabernet Mushroom Sauce

  • 1/3 C Basil Balsamic
  • 1/8 C extra virgin olive oil
  • 1 tsp. Sel de Cuisine
  • 2 steaks (I prefer tenderloin but most cuts are fine)
  1. Place steaks in ziploc bag & pour marinade in
  2. Let steaks marinate 1/2 hour.
  3. Place steaks on grill or in oven ( reserve marinade).
  4. Cook steaks until desired doneness.

Cabernet Mushroom Sauce

  • 2 C Cabernet Sauvignon
  • Marinade from steaks
  • 2 C mixed fresh mushrooms (cremini, shiitake, etc)
  1. Pour wine & marinade from steaks into saucepan.
  2. Over high heat bring liquid to boil. Add mushrooms then reduce heat to simmer.
  3. Spoon this yummy sauce over the top of your steaks when they’ve finished cooking
